A tradition 60+ years in the making
What is a Renaissance Faire?
Imagine stepping through a portal into a bustling 16th-century village — knights jousting on horseback, blacksmiths hammering steel, the smell of roasted turkey legs filling the air, and musicians playing lutes under towering oak trees.
That's a Renaissance faire. Part history lesson, part fantasy escape, and 100% unforgettable.
The tradition started in 1963 when the first Renaissance Pleasure Faire was held in Southern California. What began as a small community fundraiser has grown into a nationwide phenomenon — with over 700 faires, festivals, and medieval events happening across America and beyond every year.
